Finnair takes charts and route documentation from European Aeronautical Group.
In connection with their move towards a less paper flight-deck environment, Finnair 18 March signed a five years’ agreement for EAG’s Route Manual and eRM electronic charts. Hannes Bjurström, Finnair’s SVP Flight Operations commented on the occasion: “In the end it was all about confidence; our confidence in EAG as provider and in eRM as a product. The fact that eRM has already received the first Civil Aviation Authorities’ approval for navigation without paper back-up was another deciding factor”. Björn Alegren, President and CEO for European Aeronautical Group says: “My whole organisation and I are very proud of now having Finnair as customer to two of our products: the Route Manual and our Airport Obstacle Database”.
