European Directories BondCo S.C.A. announces deferral of tax payment in respect of Administrative Court ruling

Report this content

European Directories BondCo S.C.A. announced today that the Supreme Administrative Court (“SAC”) in Helsinki has granted Finderia Oy a deferral in full of the EUR 38.8m tax assessment raised by the Finnish Tax Authorities. The tax assessment was made following the previously announced findings of the Helsinki Administrative Court in the Finderia case. The deferral is granted until the matter has been finally resolved by the SAC.

The European Directories Group maintains its position that the tax claim is unfounded as the ruling contravenes previous court rulings and misinterprets applicable law. Finderia Oy has lodged a preliminary appeal to the SAC but does not have any information on whether or not the leave to appeal will be granted, nor of the timing of the process.
