On February 19th a conference will be held at the Royal Library in Copenhagen, Denmark about the construction and use of the European Spallation Source, the next generation materials research facility to be built in Lund, Sweden. Invited are all companies and organisations that wish to get involved in the ESS, with topics ranging from design, construction and operation as well as using neutrons for industrial R&D.

- This is an opportunity for companies from all over Europe interested in being a part of the construction and design of this 1.5 B€ facility as well as companies interested in using neutrons for materials research, says Prof Colin Carlile, Director of ESS in Lund. - The interest from European Industries to get more information about the project is, judging from the first week registration, very great, says Roger Eriksson, Project Leader of the ESS Industry Day. We strongly encourage interested companies to register as soon as possible using our website www.ess-scandinavia.eu/industryday. - It is important to create a database of industrial and commercial competencies in order that the technical demands of the ESS facility can be met, says Colin Carlile. ESS Industry Day will be held at the Royal Library in Copenhagen, February 19, 2010, between 9 am and 3 pm.
