Europolitan and Kipling to collaborate on WAP services Europolitan and Kipling Information Technology have signed a cooperation agreement regarding the development and sales of WAP services and other mobile information solutions. The agreement between the two companies outlines their future cooperation, which will involve a variety of mobile information solutions. It also means that the companies have created a platform for the development of WAP services. The cooperation will encompass intranet-, extranet- and Internet- based solutions, making it possible for the companies to distribute information to their customers and employees and for private individuals to access different types of public information via their WAP telephones. "Thanks to Europolitan's expertise in mobile telephony and Kipling's know-how as regards telecoms-related solutions, we are able to create highly useful services tailored to our joint customers' needs," says Gustaf Ekberg, MD of Kipling. There are a variety of uses for mobile information solutions. They make it possible to adapt information to the user's unique needs and to transfer it securely. In addition, the users can be located practically anywhere when they receive the information, allowing them to work more efficiently and simplify their working and everyday lives. Mobile information services can also be combined with various positioning services.
