Europolitan lowers SMS prices Europolitan is making it cheaper for its customers to send text messages (SMS). Today, the 18th of May, SMS prices are being cut by almost 40 per cent to SEK 1.50 per message. "The customers use of SMS is increasing rapidly," says Robert Nilsson, vice President Marketing at Europolitan. "We were the first operator in the world to introduce the possibility of sending text messages, and ever since, we have invested heavily in developing attractive information services for our customers." Customers can use the SMS service to send short messages to other mobile phone users. All Europolitan's GSM customers are also able to at any time order and retrieve e.g. news, stock rates, weather reports from Europolitan's TextInfo services. They can also subscribe the information from Europolitan's new Hantera web site, where Europolitan's different information services are gathered. Subscribers can decide themselves which areas they want monitored, and then receive notifications in the form of SMS messages relating to these areas. They can, for example, subscribe to domestic, international, sports or entertainment news or weather. Europolitan AB is a Swedish GSM operator that prioritizes service and quality.
