Europolitan Vodafone is now Vodafone Europolitan Vodafone is today changing its brand name to Vodafone to elucidate the collaboration with the Vodafone group, the world's largest network for mobile communication. Information about the name change has been distributed for some time now. In upcoming months there will be a host of marketing activities, new services and special customer offers. "Our company has come a long way since its founding eleven years ago. It is a fantastic achievement to have joined the world's largest mobile network, a Group represented on five continents with over 200 million mobile telecom users. This means that we have the resources to bring our customers a strong service offering both at the national and the international levels, and this can only benefit both business people and private consumers," says Jon Risfelt, President and CEO of Vodafone in Sweden. Collaboration within Vodafone has already resulted in a large number of mobile services that can also be used outside Sweden, and it will continue to do so. Recently, Vodafone was the first mobile operator in Sweden to launch GPRS roaming in three countries outside the Nordic region, and the offering will be extended to several other European countries. "Our international services are a result of the collaboration within the Vodafone Group and we plan to launch even more international services during the year, both for pre-paid customers and subscription customers," says Jon Risfelt. Since January this year, the change of name has been regularly communicated in TV commercials and in the press, with excellent results for Vodafone in terms of awareness figures. The company plans to continue publicising the change of name through a series of marketing activities and campaigns targeting its customers. Also the company names changes.
