Europolitan Vodafone launches new subscriptions for private customers Today, Europolitan is launching a new subscription concept based on simplicity for the customer. The concept is called Easy, and is geared to private customers and sub-divided into four versions for different needs: Easy Kontant, Easy Fritid, Easy SMS and Easy Alltid. All customers have access to voice mail service, SMS, number display and Europolitan Vodafone's data service at no additional cost. Easy Fritid, Easy SMS and Easy Alltid also include a mobile e-mail address at no extra cost, as well as access to over 100 gaming and information services. In conjunction with the launch of the new Easy concept, Europolitan Vodafone is ceasing to offer calling credit subscriptions to its customers. "The calling credit subscription era is over. Today, customers view calling credit subscriptions as inconvenient and disadvantageous. We are therefore ceasing to offer such subscription forms," says Michael Malvebo, Head of Corporate & Consumer at Europolitan Vodafone. "Our intention is to simplify things for customers based on how they want to use their mobile phones. Our research has given us excellent feedback," continues Malvebo. To follow is a brief description of the subscriptions and the pre paid card: Easy Kontant is a pre paid card designed for users who make calls periodically and who want access to many advanced services with full cost control. Easy Kontant users thus have access to excellent mobile services without flat fees, commitment periods or invoices. People who sign for Easy Kontant before 30 June 2001 will be offered SEK 200 worth of free calls when they register. The Easy Fritid subscription is designed for people who want to make calls mainly during evenings and weekends. The Easy Fritid subscription provides good value for money, giving users full freedom of choice and flexibility. Easy Fritid includes 60 minutes worth of free calls per month during evenings and weekends to the fixed network and to the Europolitan Vodafone network. Calls subsequently cost SEK 0.40 per minute during evenings and weekends to the fixed network and to Europolitan Vodafone's network. Calls to other operators cost just SEK 2 per minute during evenings and weekends. In order to facilitate cost control, Easy Fritid users are offered an itemised invoice via Europolitan Vodafone's Hantera web site for three months until and including August. The Easy SMS subscription is geared to users who send a lot of SMS messages. Its pricing structure is based on a ladder model whereby the price is reduced by SEK 0.20 after every tenth SMS. When 30 SMS messages have been sent, they then cost just SEK 0.90 for the rest of the month. In the following month, the price level starts at SEK 1.50 per SMS again. Until 31 August, customers will pay SEK 0.90 per SMS sent from a mobile to a mobile with EASY SMS from the first message sent. The fourth version - Easy Alltid - is appropriate for people who want to make calls mainly during the day and pay the same price regardless of when and whom they call in Sweden. The advantage of Easy Alltid is therefore simple, sound cost control. Until 30 June inclusive, Europolitan Vodafone will also be offering free connection fees for the subscriptions, Easy Fritid, Easy SMS and Easy Alltid.
