Europolitan Vodafone's first international service - uniform prices when calling in Europé Europolitan Vodafone is together with other European operators in the Vodafone group, launching its Eurocall service, enabling Europolitan Vodafone customers to make and receive calls at uniform prices when travelling in Europe. At the same time Europolitan Vodafone is launching short number access to, among others, Customer Service and voicemail from abroad. Short number access from abroad is available to all Europolitan Vodafone customer and is free of extra charges. Eurocall is a service specially developed for customers who travel extensively and need to communicate frequently using their mobile telephones when on the move. It used to be difficult to obtain a clear overview of the different prices of mobile operators in each country when abroad. Eurocall, however, is now enabling Europolitan Vodafone's customers to make and receive calls at uniform prices in 39 of Europe's 48 countries. "Eurocall is a direct result of our close collaboration within the Vodafone group. As borders in the world around us fade, our services need to follow suit. Eurocall is the first of many services we are developing with international coverage," says Jon Risfelt, CEO of Europolitan Vodafone. Eurocall divides Europe into three zones* - Gold, Silver and the Nordic region - which means that people who sign the Eurocall agreement need only keep track of which zone they are in to know what the call will cost. Calling a country within the Eurocall area from the Gold zone costs SEK 6.95/minute. The same call costs SEK 8.95/minute in the Silver zone, and only SEK 4.95/minute when the user is in the Nordic region. Prices apply to voice, fax and data calls around the clock and do not include VAT. When people connected to Eurocall receive a call, the price is SEK 3.95/minute in the Gold and Silver zones and SEK 2.95/minute within the Nordic region. The Eurocall connection fee is SEK 100, and the monthly fee is SEK 30 excluding VAT. When you order Eurocall, Europolitan Vodafone sends you a new SIM card containing the service, and Eurocall is available for all subscription forms with the exception of the EASY telephone card. Short numbers from abroad Europolitan Vodafone is also launching access to some of the company's services via short numbers from abroad. Users have previously dialled the full number (+46708222888) to reach, for example, Customer Service 222, or EuroVoice 888. Customers will now be able to dial short numbers just as they do in Sweden to take advantage of these services when abroad. Short number access is free of extra charges and is available to all Europolitan Vodafone customers when travelling abroad. Countries and short numbers will be updated continually at www.europolitan.se. *Countries in each zone.
