Euroseek becomes Official Supplier for Swedish Match Cup Euroseek will be the Official Supplier for the Swedish match Cup in Marstrand, which takes place between July 3-9 this year. Euroseek is using its broadband capacity so that everybody can follow the sailing at Marstrand through direct coverage over the web. The Swedish company Euroseek (www.euroseek.com), with Internet services such as portals, search engine, information, entertainment, e-commerce, and wireless broadband access, is providing 2 Mbps of fixed Internet access for the arrangers GKSS. "Everybody will be able to follow the positions of the boats in real time thanks to Euroseek. The public will be kept informed via the web on the boats, starting lists, the handling of the results, and about what is happening on Marstrand. The site will also be providing interactive sections with the WAP function, thanks to our broadband connection," says Catherine Sahlgren, managing director of Euroseek. The Swedish Match Cup is the biggest sailing event in Sweden this year, and last year it was the biggest sports event with 120,000 spectators on Marstrand and 150,000 visits to the site www.swedishmatchcup.com. This year there are expected to be even more visitors, which sets big demands on the arranger GKSS. "Through Euroseek we can offer all visitors a national festival over the net. Journalists and the boat crews are also provided with Internet access so that they can keep in contact with their editors or their families in their home country," says Peter Klock, Event Manager at GKSS. The co-operation with GKSS implies major exposure for Euroseek, with among other things the name of the company on the long side of the starting boat and as a link on Swedish Match Cup's home-page. Euroseek will also have a 43 foot sailing boat in position at the VIP jetty, and a booth to demonstrate the fixed broadband connection and functions. Euroseek Access will therefore be able to offer fixed connection of high speed Internet to companies, hotels and properties on Marstrand and Koön from now on.. Visitors can also go to www.euroseek.com during the sailing to see the local weather around Marstrand, and a 3 day forecast in moving images.
