Everysport Group AB (publ) has today, via its Norwegian subsidiary Everysport Group Norway AS, launched the sports politics site idrettspolitikk.no with an associated premium service in Norway. The Group also announces the launch of an associated premium service for hest.no as well as the migration of the site to the Everysport Media Platform (EMP). The investment in quality journalism with premium content around sports is part of the Group's overall growth strategy to increase the company's monthly recurring revenue.

– We have had several successful launches of sports media sites with associated premium services and are now continuing in line with our strategy by broadening the range on the Norwegian market with premium services on the editorial sites idrettspolitikk.no and hest.no. We continue to see an increased demand for deeper coverage of sports both in Sweden and internationally, while the willingness to pay for these types of services is increasing, says Hannes Andersson, CEO, Everysport Group.

The new site idrettspolitikk.no is the first media channel with a focus on sports politics in the Nordic region. Idrettspolitikk.no has previously been run on a non-profit basis and the new premium service enables wider coverage and more investigative reports. The founder and editor-in-chief Andreas Selliaas remains in his role when the site is now relaunched by Everysport Group.

– We are proud to launch the Nordics' first media channel that puts sports and sports politics on the top of the agenda together with Andreas Selliaas, who we dare to say is one of the leading international journalists and debaters within a wide range of sports political topics - both on a local and international level, says Kristian Skullerud, CEO of Everysport Group Norway AS.

Hest.no is Norway's most popular and oldest platform for horse enthusiasts and is now being launched in a new edition with a premium service that enables further investment in quality journalism and content around equestrian sports and horses.

– We are relaunching hest.no in a new and updated version with enhanced user experience. However, our goal to be the meeting place for people with an interest in horses remains intact. The interest on a hobby level and in a more professional context, is growing rapidly. We see a great need for a digital meeting place for this large group of enthusiasts, says Kristian Skullerud, CEO, Everysport Group Norway AS.

Idrettspolitikk.no and hest.no are both based on the Group’s new technical platform Everysport Media Platform (EMP), specially developed for sports media in both text and video format. The platform enables personalized experiences and access to additional material via subscription services.
