(Oslo, 23 November 2018) Bankgirot’s new collaboration with EVRY consists of Bankgirot outsourcing its IT operations. The partnership will enable Bankgirot to adopt a more dynamic delivery organisation and will modernise its technical infrastructure.

The agreement means that EVRY will take responsibility for platform operations and will deliver services that satisfy Bankgirot’s delivery of simple and efficient payments.

“We are pleased that Bankgirot has shown its trust in us by entering into the agreement. Bankgirot occupies a strong position in the payment market in Sweden, and this agreement will enable us to together intensify the work to improve the efficiency of Bankgirot’s platform operations”, comments Per Hove, CEO of EVRY.

Bankgirot has guaranteed and digitalised the Swedish payment market for nearly 60 years, and it processes about 6 million transactions worth SEK 68 billion every day. The company has previously developed numerous successful financial services, such as Autogiro, e-invoices, and Real-Time Payments that enable Swish.

“With EVRY, we get a strong partner with deep technical and commercial insight that will help us provide quality and efficiency”, says Bankgirot CEO Jeanette Jäger.
EVRY beat strong international competition to win the contract with Bankgirot, demonstrating its high level of expertise and competitive solutions that satisfy customer requirements in terms of improving the efficiency of payment infrastructure that is critical to society.

The agreement represents total contract value of approximately SEK 700 million and runs for a period of seven years with effect from 10 December 2018. In addition, Bankgirot has an option to renew the agreement for up to four years, two years at a time.
