Prior to joining Itaú, Piper spent 8 years with Morgan Stanley Investment Management where he was a member of the Emerging Markets Group and co-Portfolio Manager, overseeing US $4 billion in assets invested in Latin America. During his tenure at Morgan Stanley, Piper managed one of Canada’s longest running and best performing Latin America funds and now manages the Excel Latin America Fund as the only mutual fund in Canada under his direction.
