Stockholm, Sweden, 11 January 2012 - C2SAT (Nordic MTF, C2ST MTF), a supplier of stabilized VSAT antennas for the maritime market, announced today that its ”C2SAT 1.2 m Ku II” has been granted Eutelsat standard M approval, in line with requirements for maritime antennas. The antenna is based on a 4-axes construction. Compared with the more common 3-axes antennas C2SAT’s 4-axes solution allows smoother movement patterns and avoids blind spots at high elevation, which in turn facilitates better availability.

“The tests conducted in Arboga (Sweden), supervised by representatives of Eutelsat, shows that the antenna has excellent radio properties. We have during 2011 been able to conclude that this antenna model works very well at sea in terms of availability, automatic switching between satellites, remote monitoring and other functionality that was introduced with the C2SAT 1.2 m Ku II. The approval from Eutelsat is another proof that the antenna meets the tough requirements C2SAT’s customers place on their communications equipment” says C2SAT’s chief engineer Jan Otterling .
