Richard Manifold Appointed General Manager of Exmac Automation

Thursday, 5 December 2013 (Droitwich, UK): Exmac Automation – the UK’s leading materials handling and automation specialist and part of the MacDonald Humfrey group of companies – has appointed Richard Manifold as General Manager.

Richard, who has previously worked as a senior project manager for MacDonald Humfrey Automation (MHA) in Luton, has extensive experience in conveying, materials handling and automation with leading manufacturing companies such as Vauxhall, British Steel, John Brown, Harland Simon, F&H Group and Siemens.

Commenting on the appointment, MHA director Mick MacDonald says: “We approached Richard because his combination of extensive industrial experience and proven management skills are well known to us and will be invaluable in managing Exmac’s impressive growth in the automotive and aerospace sectors. He will also be responsible for driving Exmac’s diversification into other sectors such as food and beverage, processing and construction, and providing customers with a single materials handling, controls and automation package from both businesses.”

Richard is married with two daughters and enjoys scuba diving and golf.
