World’s Largest Pharmaceutical Summit Brings Latest Innovations To Light In New Award Ceremony

eyeforpharma, London (February 4th, 2014): eyeforpharma Barcelona, the world’s largest commercial pharmaceutical event has just announced the finalists for their first time award ceremony. Astellas Pharma, Bayer, Pfizer and MSD are amongst the shortlisted companies who will join an exclusive celebration to recognise what really matters when it comes to supporting real patient outcomes. 

Five value-driven awards focus on the fundamental themes shaping today’s world of pharma. Innovative projects will demonstrate outstanding level of patient value with clear results. The award ceremony comes at a time when pharma is trying to reach out to customers and allow them to shape the direction of their business.

The five categories announced focus on fundamental themes in the following areas; Most valuable patient initiative or service. Most valuable HCP or healthcare initiative. Most impactful emerging or global initiative. Customer Innovator Award and Lifetime Value Achievement.

Astellas Pharma UK are shortlisted for the most valuable patient initative with their ‘over active bladder awareness programme’ whilst Sanofi is shortlisted for their most valuable HCP initiative with their seprefilm virtual training tool.

Judges to shortlist the likes Astellas, Eli Lilly and Sanofi include Michael Baes, VP Innovation at Janssen, Simon Davies, CEO at Teen Cancer and  Huw Tippett, VP Global Commercial Excellence at Baxter. The judges will determine a fair and supported decision to announce ground breaking news that will highlight the new leaders across the industry shaping competition for 2014 and beyond.

The award ceremony is to be co-located with the famous eyeforpharma Barcelona conference taking place 18-20thMarch, 2014. Award winners will be announced on Tuesday 18thMarch in the evening as a part of this first time industry recognition award ceremony.
