As of 1 January 2015, Lagardère Unlimited will take over operation of Friends Arena as part of an agreement that will extend over more than 10 years. The agreement was announced today by the owners of Friends Arena: the Swedish Football Association, Peab, Fabege, the City of Solna and Jernhusen, together with Lagardère Unlimited, which is also signing a long-term lease with the property company that owns Friends Arena, Arenabolaget i Solna AB.

“Over a period of two years, we have been laying the foundation for Friends Arena. It feels good being able to now hand over the arena’s operation to an international operator such as Lagardère Unlimited, which will be able to further strengthen and develop Friends Arena as a competitive events arena,” says Erik Paulsson, Chairman of Fabege.
