Comneon license Effnet’s IP Header Compression Technology

Effnet AB, a leading provider of IP Header Compression software and Comneon, a leading provider of protocol stack software for mobile communications and a 100 percent subsidiary of Infineon Technologies AG, a leading provider of integrated circuits for communication, today announced a licensing and co-operation agreement concerning Effnet’s IP Header Compression software. The agreement enables Comneon to integrate Effnet’s IP Header Compression software into Comneon’s UMTS 3GPP Release 6 protocol stack used in third party 3G platforms and products of Infineon.

“3GPP UMTS Release 6 defines IP header compression as a mandatory feature.
