Factum enables DAB/DMB transmission in the Czech Republic

In conjunction with the WorldDAB General Assembly in the Czech Republic, Factum Electronics has provided a head end system for DAB/DMB transmissions in cooperation with the network operator TELEKO, system integrator Antonin Couf - E.M.U. Servis and the public broadcaster Czech Radio. During the event it will be possible to experience a number of DAB/DMB services in Prague. The equipment consists of a multiplexer system, audio encoders, a dynamic range controller, a data-broadcasting server and a DMB encoder from Pixtree. Services using the Factum equipment include Broadcast Website, Broadcast Slideshow, DLS (Dynamic Label Service), and top of the line audio services. Television broadcasted using DMB technology can be viewed on mobile telephones provided by LG and Samsung and other portable devices provided by Perstel. Factum has also teamed up with Unique Interactive and GoMobile in order to provide an Electronic Programme Guide and a Stock Exchange information service over DAB. “Factum Electronics is a leading DAB/DMB system provider to large national broadcasters, network operators and commercial radio stations.
