Factum Electronics, world-leading supplier of equipment for DAB and DAB+ digital radio and DMB digital multimedia broadcasting, continues to lead the way for innovative and robust broadcast solutions by launching three new products at IBC2010 in Amsterdam.

The products were specified and developed in close co-operation with selected customers, thus ensuring the requirements and needs of the users are met.

“Factum strives to achieve the best possible value for its current and prospective customer base”, says Fredrik Hånell, CEO of Factum Electronics AB and Effnet Holding AB. “With these three products we strengthen our offering and confirm our leading position in the digital radio and multimedia broadcasting sector”.

DTC100 – ETI/STI over IP converter

Compliant with FEP, FEP2, EDI as well as G.703 and G.704 protocols, the DTC100 is the most versatile and complete ETI over IP conversion and distribution product on the market. With the unique handling of Absolute Timestamp (ATS), the DTC100 makes it possible to mix both IP links and traditional G.703/G.704 links in the very same Single Frequency Network (SFN).

MAP300E – New DAB/DAB+ audio encoder

The MAP300E audio encoder satisfies the needs of smaller radio stations on distributed contribution networks. It offers excellent cost effectiveness, smaller rack space per channel, service monitoring and an audio level indicator, in a robust new hardware design with no moving parts.

Cadenza – Wide-band dynamics designer

The Cadenza is a high fidelity dynamics designer tool for DAB, DAB+, and FM, to level-align and trim the overall process grade of the audio content. Its versatility and comprehensiveness enables easily customized programme dynamics designs, with user access to all parameters. With the intelligent combination of compressor, limiter and expander functions, it performs dynamics reduction and precision peak amplitude control with superior result, and can well replace the AGC in multi-band processors.
