STARS SANTÉ AT THE FAIRMONT SONOMA MISSION INN SHINES BRIGHT

SONOMA VALLEY, CA, November, 2010 – Santé , the fine dining room at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa, has been graced with the coveted  Michelin star  for the second year in a row in the new Michelin Guide San Francisco, Bay Area  &  Wine Country 2011, released earlier this week. Internationally recognized as the preeminent culinary authority, Michelin named Santé among an elite group of just 44 Bay Area restaurants as the best of the best. To evaluate restaurants included in the prominent guide, Michelin inspectors anonymously visit each establishment, provide objective assessments and judge on five criteria: the quality of products used, the mastering of flavors and cooking, the "personality" of the cuisine, and the value and the consistency of dishes prepared.

Santé has earned a national reputation for outstanding food.  Literally meaning “to your health,” the restaurant is a celebration of innovative California cuisine and good taste. Guests enjoy a seasonal menu, in a warm and casual yet stylish setting. Designed to exude the California wine country experience, Chef Andrew Cain showcases the region’s abundant local products and world-famous wines. Sante’s menu reflects a commitment to sourcing ingredients locally and organically. The restaurant's Sonoma-centric wine list features boutique, limited production varietals and perfect pairings to complement Chef Cain’s works.

The lauded dining room is a recipient of multiple designations including those bestowed by Wine Spectator, AAA Four Diamond, and Zagat.

“This sought after accolade is renowned as an international culinary who's who,” boasts Executive Chef Bruno Tison.  “Santé ’s, Chef de Cuisine, Andrew Cain and his culinary brigade work hard to create inventive, original flavors -this group of professionals is truly committed to providing the very best Wine Country has to offer.”
