FENNOVOIMA OPENS LOCAL OFFICES IN PYHÄJOKI AND SIMO

Simo Herva appointed Local Contact Manager

Finnish energy company Fennovoima opens local offices in Pyhäjoki and Simo. Sauli Herva, M.Sc., geologist, has been appointed Local Contact Manager. Mr Herva has previously been involved in nuclear energy research work and has worked as an entrepreneur. In his new position at Fennovoima, Mr Herva will be responsible for the operations of two local offices and local communications. In addition, he will participate in land acquisition operations and research related to Environmental Impact Assesment processes.

Local offices in Simo and Pyhäjoki are Fennovoima’s information points and public meeting places. The offices have regular opening hours and there will also be other local events arranged related to Fennovoima’s nuclear power plant project. Local residents in Simo and Pyhäjoki are offered an opportunity to give feedback and get information about nuclear power and Fennovoima’s project.

The office in Pyhäjoki is located in Vanhatie 48 and will be opened on January 28. The office is open on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Simo’s office is located in Maksniementie 28 and the office is opened on January 31. The office is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Public opening event of the offices will take place in February. In Pyhäjoki, the opening happening is on February 13 starting at 12:00 and in Simo the event takes place on February 12 starting at 12:00.

Within the next few weeks, Fennovoima will open additional local offices in Kristinestad and in Ruotsinpyhtää.
