FENNOVOIMA ACQUIRED LAND IN KRISTINESTAD

Fennovoima has made the first land acquisition agreements in Kristinestad. As a result, the company has almost hundred hectares of land in Norrskogen area in Kristinestad. The acquisitions will be completed with additional agreements in the near future.

The Environmental Impact Assessment for Fennovoima's new nuclear plant is going on in Kristinestad, Pyhäjoki, Ruotsinpyhtää and Simo. Fennovoima has previously acquired 600 hectares of land in Ruotsinpyhtää and more than 200 hectares in Simo. In Pyhäjoki, land acquisition negotiations continue.

Fennovoima has now secured the possession of land needed for a nuclear plant in Ruotsinpyhtää and Simo. Additional acquisitions in these locations are possible, too.

Fennovoima's EIA report will be completed in October 2008, and the whole EIA procedure in February 2009. Fennovoima will submit the application for a Decision-in-Principle regarding a nuclear plant to the Finnish Government in February 2009.
