We are pleased to announce that Riikka Paarma has been named Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer at Halton Group. At the same time, Mika Nieminen is appointed as Senior Vice President, IT & Digitalization. These appointments are happening as Halton Group moves forward to implement its new strategy for 2026-2030.

Mika’s previous role at Halton Group combined strategy development and IT & digitalization. This role adjustment provides Mika with more bandwidth to lead the enhancement of our digital capabilities while developing IT operations, including cybersecurity aspects.

Riikka has been heading Halton Group’s sustainability development since March 2024. Sustainability is an integral part of Halton’s strategy, providing safety and well-being in demanding built environments while using the least possible resources. Combining strategy and sustainability into one leadership role is a natural step to drive that.

“I am confident that Riikka’s and Mika’s leadership and expertise will greatly benefit our organization as we continue to implement our new strategy and grow profitably. Both of them have extensive experience in these domains from different industries and companies,” says Kai Konola, CEO, Halton Group.

“With these changes, we have well-aligned roles and focus to drive sustainability and digitalization, which are strongly embedded into our business strategies.”

Both Mika and Riikka will continue to serve as members of Halton Group's Executive team and will report to Kai Konola. These appointments are effective immediately.
