Inwido and Schüco embark on groundbreaking partnership

Inwido, Northern Europe's leading supplier of windows and doors, has signed a cooperation agreement with German system supplier Schüco. Schüco’s designer glazing solutions for architect-designed homes and other buildings will complement Inwido’s existing range of windows and doors. The partnership ties in well with Inwido’s strategy of offering customers energy-efficient designer solutions that maximise wellbeing. The companies will initially work together in Sweden, but the agreement will eventually cover all of Inwido’s markets.

“For two such important players to sign an agreement at this level is groundbreaking in this industry,” says Håkan Jeppsson, President and CEO of Inwido. “It opens up exciting possibilities not only for Inwido and Schüco but also for our customers. Schüco’s advanced glazing solutions complement our other products well. Above all, they will strengthen our offering to architects.”

Headquartered in Germany, Schüco is a well-known brand worldwide and has a good reputation among architects and home-owners requiring special solutions. The company is known for its product design and specialises in bespoke glazing solutions, primarily for architect-designed homes. Schüco offers high-quality aluminium products for both windows and doors, including sliding and folding doors.

“The agreement with Inwido will increase our availability in the market and give us a strong and well-established partner that can sell and market our products through its sales channels,” says Magnus Winegård, who heads up Schüco’s Nordic operations.

Sales of Schüco products will commence in all of Inwido’s markets – Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Poland, Russia, the UK and Ireland – from the start of 2011.
