Fidelis Care Launches Fitness Program for Employees
EveryMove @Work Aims to Motivate Employees to Achieve Their Goals
With a commitment to encouraging good health and regular physical activity for employees, Fidelis Care announces its participation in the digital fitness program EveryMove @Work.
“Our 2,500 employees are our most valuable asset, and this program gives us a fun way to help them get active or stay active,” said Claudia Shoro, Vice President, Human Resources. “We believe participating in EveryMove @Work will get employees excited about everything from walking at lunch or running a 5k to taking a Zumba class.”
Through EveryMove @Work, participants earn points by taking part in their favorite activities – choosing from a list of hundreds. EveryMove @Work syncs with a wide variety of wearable fitness trackers, and activity can also be manually logged on the EveryMove @Work website or mobile app. Rewards are offered when certain points thresholds are passed.
“In piloting this program, a group of employees created an online community, sharing virtual high-fives and motivating each other to earn points,” explained Shoro. “This is a great way for employees to set and reach their personal fitness goals as they support and encourage each other along the way.”
Late last year, Fidelis Care introduced EveryMove as a benefit to members enrolled in its NY State of Health metal-level products. When a member reaches a certain points threshold, Fidelis Care makes a monetary donation to the Food Bank Association of New York State.
