Public transport ticketing is now easier with Fidesmo Pay
On February 2, it became possible for Stockholm residents to tap their payment card against the ticket reader and pay for a ticket for the public transport network. And with this, the payment service Fidesmo Pay also became an approved alternative as you can tap your wearable instead of your payment card when traveling in Stockholm.
The Swedish tech company Fidesmo makes it possible to connect contactless services, such as payment and public transport ticketing, to a variety of devices, such as wearables. The payment service Fidesmo Pay can now be used when traveling on public transport in Stockholm, as the service makes it possible to tap a wearable against the ticket reader, instead of a payment card. Fidesmo Pay is supported by both Mastercard and Visa and enables banks to offer their customers a secure and convenient way to make contactless payments, by paying with a wearable of their choice.
– Being able to use your wearable in public transport is very good, as public transport is an environment where contactless payments is really useful. Using a wearable with Mastercard and Visa is amazingly easy and convenient, says Mattias Eld, CEO of Fidesmo.
