MADISON, Wis. (Mar. 27, 2015) –  Fiskars, the World’s #1 Scissors Brand™, has joined with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for the seventh consecutive year to be the official net-cutting scissors during the 2015 NCAA® Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships.

The iconic orange-handled scissors will be used by winning teams in the post game net-cutting ceremonies for the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Regional Championship and Final Four games, as well the NCAA Division I, II and III Men’s and Women’s Championship games. The special edition scissors have serrated, gold titanium blades that are specially etched with the NCAA logo.

Following the championship games, each of the winning institutions will keep one pair of the commemorative scissors for permanent display on campus.

“We’re once again thrilled to play a part in an NCAA basketball tradition with teams throughout the nation, as they celebrate a season of excellence by cutting the nets with nothing but the best,” said Fiskars Brands, Inc. President Paul Tonnesen. “As a company that recently celebrated its 365th anniversary, we share an appreciation for creating long-standing memories and are honored to help teams pay tribute to achieving historic milestones.”

Introduced in 1967, Fiskars’ flagship Original Orange-Handled Scissors™ have become an iconic design classic with over one billion pairs sold worldwide.
