Changes in the Fiskars Group Leadership Team

In a stock exchange release published today, Fiskars Group announced its plans to separate its two Business Areas into independent operations and legal entities. After the planned split, Fiskars Group will consist of two operationally independent companies, Fiskars and Vita, in addition to a lean group organization. The new organization is expected to be effective starting on 1 April 2025, with the legal entity structure completed by the end of the first quarter of 2026.

In line with these plans, Fiskars Group is making changes in its Leadership Team to drive the continued transformation of the company.

The two operationally independent companies will be headed by their own CEOs. Dr. Steffen Hahn, currently Executive Vice President, Business Area Fiskars, has been promoted to the role of CEO of Fiskars. Christian Bachler, currently Executive Vice President of Business Area Vita, will be leaving Fiskars Group after working for the company since 2010. He will step down from his role on 1 November 2024. In addition to her role as Fiskars Group’s President and CEO, Nathalie Ahlström will take on the position of CEO, Vita on an interim basis until the new CEO of Vita is appointed.

“Separating the Business Areas into independent operations and legal entities is a key step on Fiskars Group’s transformation journey. With it, we are completing our 'brands first' approach. Christian Bachler has been instrumental in setting this move in motion. I want to truly thank him for his dedication and many contributions during the 14 years in the company, first in Business Area Fiskars and then in Vita. He has made a lasting impact and overall a brilliant career at Fiskars Group. We wish him the very best for the next steps in his career,” says Nathalie Ahlström, President and CEO of Fiskars Group.

“With the company taking this transformational step, the time has come for me to pursue opportunities outside of Fiskars Group. Our fantastic brands will stay in my heart forever, and I would like to take this opportunity to express my warm thanks to all my dear colleagues across the company,” says Christian Bachler.

Aamir Shaukat, currently Chief Supply Chain Officer, has been promoted to the role of Executive Vice President, Group Operations and Sustainability. He will remain in Fiskars Group’s Leadership Team, and also take on the new position of Chief Operations Officer in Vita. Anna Mindelöf, currently Chief People Officer, will continue on the Fiskars Group Leadership Team until 1 April 2025, after which she will transition into her new role in Vita as its Chief Human Resources Officer.

“Aamir has successfully initiated and achieved a business transformation in our supply chain during the past year. I am convinced that his extensive global experience in leading transformation and diverse teams will further enhance our productivity and operations especially in Vita. Anna will continue to have a vital role as Fiskars Group’s Chief People Officer as the separation plans progress. After that she will continue her important work in Vita where we see big potential for further elevating capabilities and ways of working to deliver continued transformation,” Nathalie Ahlström continues.

As a result of these changes, the Fiskars Group Leadership Team will, as of 1 November 2024, consist of the following members:

  • Nathalie Ahlström, Fiskars Group’s President and CEO
  • Jussi Siitonen, Group CFO & deputy to the President and CEO of Fiskars Group
  • Dr. Steffen Hahn, CEO of Fiskars
  • Nathalie Ahlström, CEO of Vita (interim)
  • Aamir Shaukat, Executive Vice President, Group Operations and Sustainability
  • Anna Mindelöf, Chief People Officer (member of the Fiskars Group Leadership Team until 1 April 2025)
