SMART Blanket technology automatically controls three separate zones to prevent burned product.

SALT LAKE CITY — Powerblanket introduces the new SMART Blanket, which uses patented GreenHeat Technology and a three zone automatic shut-off system, which relieves users who worry about burning their product in barrels and buckets.

“Our new SMART technology alleviates a lot of worry,” said Ryan Mecham, Chief Operating Officer. “The SMART Blanket represents our latest innovation to help our customers to maintain a constant temperature without burning their product.”

Powerblanket SMART Blankets have three specific zones that automatically shut off when needed. This allows the blanket to heat a product in a “smart” way, ensuring that the product is kept at a desired temperature to avoid burning related to overheating that is common with band heaters.

“We designed the industry-leading SMART Blanket to intelligently respond to thermal feedback,” said Joel Fillion, Vice President of Engineering. “This allows the blanket to automatically shut off, which saves energy, to protect product and create a more precise heating solution.”

GreenHeat Technology is a revolutionary heat-spreading system that is designed to provide a highly efficient and uniform distribution of heat while only consuming low levels of energy.  The SMART Blanket is certified for Hazardous Locations (Class I Division 2 Groups A, B, C & D – T4 Temperature Classification).
