15 June 2010 Mottram Hall welcomes a new general manager Mottram Hall, one of Cheshire’s most picturesque and highly regarded hotels, has announced the appointment of a new general manager. Stephen Beech has more than 20 years experience working in the hotel and hospitality industry across the UK. He joins De Vere Hotels and Resorts from Jarvis Hotels where he most recently oversaw an £18million refurbishment programme of The Piccadilly Hotel in Manchester. Stephen, who has held senior management positions within a number of hotel groups, actually began his career with De Vere when he joined the company’s graduate hospitality training scheme in the early 90’s. It gave him the opportunity to train in some of the group’s most prestigious hotels including The Grand in Brighton and Oulton Hall in Leeds. Commenting on his new role at Mottram Hall Stephen said: “One of the major reasons for accepting this role was the opportunity to work in a venue that promotes such a diverse and quality offering. It’s vitally important that my team and I become active ambassadors for the business in the local community, and I’m looking forward to developing and supporting all areas of the hotel. “From corporate event business, which is a key emphasis for us, to the holiday leisure market I’m looking forward to meeting our many loyal customers as well as hopefully welcoming new clients to Mottram Hall.” Stephen, who lives in Nantwich, is married with two children.
