FlexLink awarded iF DESIGN AWARD 2017
The internationally
recognized iF Design Award have been granted to FlexLink for its hygienic
conveyor platform WLX. This is the second, high caliber design prize that
FlexLink has been awarded for its groundbreaking design with in-built user
benefits
FlexLink’s innovative conveyor range for application in food preparation and packaging processes has again been assigned a leading, international award for its design. The iF DESIGN AWARD, has a panel jury of more than sixty renowned experts in design, industry and architecture.
The wide belt conveyor for food processing and packaging processes, the WLX platform, is safe, clean and offers low cost of ownership. It is unique in its hygienic features and adheres to EHEDG and 3-A design guidelines, which are essential in food processing and primary packaging.
The design facilitates easy, effective cleaning procedures and ensures a consistent result. On the process side, the design support hygienic operations and hollow bodies and crevices, where pathogens and contaminants tend to get trapped, are eliminated. It addresses the higher hygienic requirements associated with consumer safety and product shelf life.
Operator safety is given priority by eliminating pinch points and sharp edges. At the same time operator easiness for the cleaning operations are served for with integrated devices to easy lifting the chain, which eliminates heavy lifting and allow good accessibility for cleaning.
