The Children’s Golf was arranged for the eighth time at Hills Golf Club outside Gothenburg, became yet another success and raised the record sum to the children at the hospital.

The event is the largest charity golf in Sweden is arranged by the Foundation for Queen Silvia’s Child Hospital in Gothenburg with the aim to make life easier for the children and to foster the recovery by offering a good and stimulating environment during their stay at the hospital.

Besides the Children’s Golf ambassadors, Carin Koch, Johan Edfors and Linda Wessberg, the Danish PGA-star Thomas Bjørn, HRH Princess Birgitta and a number of celebrities from the sports and media world participated.

– From the foundation we would like to raise a big thank you for a fantastic day at Hills Golf Club. Through the strong contribution of all involved, we managed to raise more than 1,5 MSEK , which is exceptionally good and welcome money. In addition, we have a number of objects that we are going to sell at internet auction. When all is sold, I hope that we will reach the fund raising target of 2 MSEK. The money is ear marked to finance healing rooms with a jungle theme. These rooms are specially designed to create a good and relaxing environment for the children and their parents when visiting the hospital, says Tomas Gedda, head of the Foundation for Queen Silvia’s Child Hospital.

As in the previous year, FlexLink contributed as main sponsor of the event.
