FlexQube receives the first order for an eQart® from Germany!
FlexQube has received the first order for an eQart® from Daimler in Germany.
The eQart® is the first product arising from the project “FlexQube 4.0” and it is an autonomous and remote-controlled cart that can be configured in almost any shape due to it is built with the FlexQube building blocks that has been complemented with digital modules such as motors, battery, control unit and sensors. Planned delivery is middle of September 2019, provided that the current certification process will be approved and done at the end of August 2019. The goal with the eQart® is to offer the most user-friendly automation solution for intralogistics operations. In addition, the customers can use the fully potential of the FlexQube concept to build a wide variety of sizes and customized top structures. The price for the eQart® will be between 15,000 and 25,000 USD depending on the configuration. This order is handled by FlexQube GmbH and our German Sales Manager, Jan Brettmann.
“We have invested a lot of time and capital into this project and it feels very positive to receive a formal order from a multinational automotive manufacturer like Daimler before we have even introduced the product to the broad market. The eQart® will be tested at a Mercedes-Benz service center and there is a potential for full roll out to all of the service centers worldwide later on.
We are in the final stages of the development process and are now mainly working on getting the supply chain in place, preparing for assembly and distribution, getting all the necessary certifications for the product for the EU, USA and Mexico, training the sales organization and preparing the marketing in connection with sales start. From what we know right now, the certification is the only thing that can delay sales start in case we need to make some complements in that process.”
Anders Fogelberg, CEO of FlexQube.
