FLAIA Presents - Over 500 Billion of Capital | Second Annual One-on-One | Nov. 29 & 30 | Art Basel Miami Week
(Miami, Florida, Nov. 1, 2011) The Florida Alternative Investment Association (FLAIA) is in the final stages of planning its next "One-On-One" Capital Attraction Forum, which will be held on November 29th & 30th at the Four Seasons-Miami. The event will include 350 – 400 One-on-One mandate-driven meetings between ‘best-of-breed’ Alternative Investment managers and leading institutional allocators from around the world and is expected to attract ~ $500 BN of buy-side capital to the Miami area.
A key element to the success of FLAIA’s One-on-One model is that its senior industry board members work closely with institutional allocators to understand:
- How they approach portfolio construction
- What role alternative investments play within their portfolio
- Specific alternative strategies / styles and types of managers they are considering right now
This insight allows FLAIA to perform targeted industry searches to identify fund managers ideally suited to meet the specific needs of our allocator members, regardless of style or geographic location.
In preparation for its November 29th and 30th event, FLAIA has received a broad range of investment mandates from its institutional allocator members including:
- Global Macro
- Long / Short Credit / Structured Credit
- Long / Short Equity
- Latin American Specific Funds
- Event Driven
Any funds interested in being considered for the mandates listed above are asked to forward the following materials to reporting@flaia.org:
- Marketing Presentation
- One-Page Fund Overview
- Monthly and Quarterly Newsletters
- Due Diligence Questionnaire
