Follow the Camino™, the World Camino Experts since 2006, is delighted to announce the launch, on the 24th of April 2013, of EDUCamino™: the first ever organised guided tour on the Camino de Santiago for Education Specialists, along the last 100km of the Camino de Santiago, reaching Santiago’s cathedral and the tomb of the Apostle St James!

About EDUCamino™:

Walking the Camino de Santiago is a wonderful inner and spiritual experience. But up to now it was difficult for group leaders to organise School and Educational trips along the Camino. With a different hotel every night, impossibility to book Dormitories in advance, the language barrier, too many choices of suppliers and difficulties to book groups ahead, organising a School/Educational trip was a headache.

Now, with EDUCamino™ organising a school trip has never been easier. Just decide on the dates, number or participants and walk it. Follow the Camino™ takes care of the rest: from your transfers, your luggage, your accommodation, your food, down to the smallest details to make it fun and hassle free!  We can even privatise dorms to ensure girls and boys are separated and no one else will share the room with the group, keeping it authentic, safe and affordable!

As an educational tool, EDUCamino is a healthy, fun and great adventure where students will learn about history, religion, languages and culture, while sightseeing some of the greatest natural landscapes in Europe. They will get the opportunity to taste fresh local products, improve their Spanish and finally enjoy a spending time by themselves while walking this historical trail on the traces of the millions of pilgrims before them. And they will also experience this sense of achievement, of success that many needs to gain (or regain) confidence.

Who is this for?

EDUCamino is specially designed for Schools, Scout Groups, Universities and Youth Clubs. But with prices starting at €450 per person sharing in dorms including 7 nights’ accommodation, all meals, dorm privatisation (subject to conditions), airport transfers, bilingual guide, pilgrim passports, walking notes, guides, it can also be an affordable solution for any group wanting to go on the Camino on a budget.
