The Cammina Francigena Testimonium is the first ever organised walking tour on the "Via Francigena” which allows pilgrims to obtain the Testimonium, the certificate of pilgrimage granted by the Vatican to those who complete the last 140km of the medieval pilgrimage into Vatican City and to the tomb of the Apostle Saint Peter.
"All roads lead to Rome," says the proverb. This is precisely the purpose of the Via Francigena, the road of the Franks, which in the Middle Ages linked Northern Europe to the Eternal City.
