Carl Eric Stålberg to become Executive Chairman of FöreningsSparbanken at AGM in 2003 - Göran Collert to be Honorary Chairman At the Annual General Meeting of FöreningsSparbanken (Swedbank) on April 10, 2003, Göran Collert will step down as Chairman of FöreningsSparbanken. At the same time, at the suggestion of the Nominating Committee he will be appointed Honorary Chairman. The Nominating Committee has unanimously chosen Carl Eric Stålberg, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank, as his successor. Stålberg's nomination has the support of all major shareholders. Carl Eric Stålberg will serve as Executive Chairman. He is therefore leaving his current position as President and CEO of JM AB on January 1, at which time he will join the bank as Executive Vice Chairman of the Bank. Born in 1951, Carl Eric Stålberg held various leading positions with Sweden's savings banks during the years 1975 - 1996, most recently as Chief Financial Officer of Sparbanken Sverige, where he was responsible for its successful initial public offering.
