Simbel holds 98.4 percent of the shares and 98.7 percent of the votes in N&T Argonaut

Simbel holds 98.4 percent of the shares and 98.7 percent of the votes in N&T Argonaut During the acceptance period (which after extension continued through January 20, 2000) for Simbel Investment AB's ("Simbel") offer to the shareholders in N&T Argonaut AB (publ) ("NTA"), shareholders in NTA have accepted the offer to the extent that Simbel's holding amounts to 97.6 percent of the number of shares and 98.2 percent of the number of votes in NTA. In addition, during the period December 20, 1999 to January 24, 2000, Simbel acquired another 0.8 percent of the number of shares and 0.5 percent of the number of votes in NTA on the stock market. Accordingly, Simbel owns a total of 98.4 percent of the number of shares and 98.7 percent of the number of votes in NTA. Accounting for payment of the shares tendered during the extended acceptance period will be effected through those accepting the offer being forwarded a settlement note. Payment, as specified on the settlement note, is expected to be made on or about January 28, 2000. The Board of Simbel has decided to request compulsory redemption of the minority holding in NTA. As announced previously by NTA, the Board of NTA has decided to request delisting of NTA's shares from the OM Stockholm Exchange A-list. Delisting is expected to occur on February 15, 2000.
