Swedbank announces improved result for Q1/2000 In his address to the Swedbank Annual General Meeting later today in Malmö, CEO Göran Ahlström will announce an improved Q1 result for the Group. Although the bank's interim report will not be presented until 28 April, Mr Ahlström, who is being succeeded today in the post of CEO and President by Birgitta Johansson-Hedberg, has already confirmed that the Q4 trend towards an improved result is continuing. He states, "For Q1/2000, I am expecting results to be far better than those for Q1/1999, purged of SEK 1,350 million in capital gains from property sales".
