SWEDBANK'S HUBERT FROMLET ELECTED CHAIR OF NABE'S NTERNATIONAL ROUNDTABLE Nov. 10, 2000 WASHINGTON, D.C. - Hubert Fromlet, senior vice president and chief economist, Swedbank, Stockholm, has been elected chair of the National Association for Business Economics' International Roundtable, a 150-member group within NABE that focuses on global economic issues. Perry Wong, research associate, Milken Institute, Santa Monica, Calif., and Greg Mount, international senior economist, BANK ONE Corp., have been elected vice chairs; Malry Pikar, assistant vice president, The CIT Group, Livingston, N.J., has been elected secretary/treasurer. The International Roundtable is the largest of NABE's seven roundtables. It focuses on international trade, international capital markets, the economies of countries other than the U.S., and other topics of interest to economists with an international perspective. NABE roundtables are open to all members and provide a network for contacts and the exchange of information. The National Association for Business Economics, founded in 1959, is a not-for-profit association whose mission is to provide leadership in the use and understanding of economics.
