Talisman Energy increases its holding in Lundin Oil to 97.6 per cent of the shares and 97.7 per cent of the votes Talisman Energy's public offer to the holders of shares and warrants in Lundin Oil AB (publ) has during the extended acceptance period that expired on August 31, 2001, been accepted to such an extent that Talisman Energy's aggregate holding will represent 97.6 per cent of the shares and 97.7 per cent of the voting rights in Lundin Oil, on a fully- diluted basis. Payment for shares tendered during that extended acceptance period is expected to be made by September 13, 2001 In order to make possible acceptance by shareholders who have not yet accepted the offer, Talisman Energy has decided to further extend the acceptance period to 3:00 p.m. Swedish time on Friday September 14, 2001. Payment for shares tendered during the further extended acceptance period is expected to be made by September 27, 2001.
