Garden party fun in Crowthorne
Photos from national Care Home Open Day 2015
The new gardens at Pinehurst Care Centre were the perfect setting for a barbecue party hosted by the Crowthorne care home for visitors as part of National Care Home Open Day 2015.
“Everyone had a great time - the sun shone, the food was great and live music added to the happy atmosphere as visitors and residents chatted together,” says comments centre manager, Lynne Cotterell.
One of the aims of the UK-wide initiative Care Home Open Day is to build relationships between care home residents, staff and local people, and give people the opportunity to see for themselves the kind of excellent care services available in their area.
“Our care home is very homely and welcoming, and full of friendly, caring, interesting people. We welcome visitors any time, not just on Care Home Open Day, and they will always be greeted warmly,” adds Lynne.
Pinehurst Care Centre’s doors are open to the local community all year round. For more information please visit www.foresthc.com or call 01344 774233. Located on Duke’s Ride in Crowthorne, it has 47 bedrooms and offers a friendly, family environment for people over 65, including specialist dementia care. Pinehurst is part of the Forest Healthcare group of homes, which includes 13 individual homes throughout the South East of England.
