Foresters UK fundraising efforts support disadvantaged children
Foresters - the international financial services organisation – is celebrating the success of its latest collaboration with Bauer Media’s Cash for Kids (CFK) charity, aimed at helping less fortunate children aged 0-18.
The Cash for Kids Mission Christmas Appeal 2012 helped over 250,000 children to have a better Christmas and granted a record breaking £5.3m in cash, gifts and toys.
The Appeal, which was delivered in many major cities across the UK, was in aid of local children and young people suffering from neglect and poverty. It was the latest joint campaign between Foresters and CFK. Since 2009, campaigns have included several local projects, two Christmas Toy Appeals, and the creation of the Cash for Kids Family Day in 2011.
Foresters underwrote a substantial promotional campaign in order to let the public know about the Appeal and get people involved, whether by donating a new toy, making a cash donation, or helping with the logistics of toy collections. The campaign used a combination of radio promotion, PR and marketing materials – the latter were distributed across thousands of high street collection points.
Forester members and staff were heavily involved, over 60% of Forester UK Head Office staff helped (some of these activities were carried out during working hours) and 977 Foresters’ volunteer members did their bit, collating and wrapping a total of 3949 baby packs.
