Foresters UK are pleased to announce that they will be sponsoring Wallace and Gromits ‘Big Breakfast’ fundraising event from 20th – 27th April.

Wallace & Gromit are calling on people across the UK to join The BIG Breakfast to raise thousands of pounds for sick children in hospitals and hospices by enjoying their BIG Breakfast. People from all walks of life are being invited to take part and host a ‘Wallace & Gromit BIG Breakfast’, from the 20th - 27th April. The fundraising event hopes to raise over £60,000.

‘Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Foundation is delighted to be hosting our first ever BIG Breakfast thanks to the fantastic generosity and support of Foresters, without whom the event simply would not be possible. Forester’s members play a vital role in our events supporting our work in local communities across the country. We hope the nation gets behind this cracking event and that everyone hosts their own BIG Breakfast to help sick children in hospitals across the UK’ comments Marie Storey, Head of Fundraising at Wallace & Gromit Children’s Foundation.

Research suggests that breakfast eaters have lower stress levels and better concentration than breakfast skippers, yet 1 in 4 adults in the UK admit to regularly skipping breakfast. So Wallace & Gromit’s BIG Breakfast calls on the nation to wake up to a BIG Breakfast which not only helps everyone who takes part have a brighter day but also helps raise vital funds for sick children across the UK.

Nick Park, creator of Wallace & Gromit and trustee of the Children’s Foundation, says: “The BIG Breakfast is a great way to start the day and to help sick and terminally ill children in the UK.” Since 2003 over 600,000 people have supported Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Foundation, helping children in over 58 children’s hospitals and hospices across the UK.

Joining in the event couldn’t be easier - simply call 0845 600 1924 or visit www.wallaceandgromitsbigbreakfast.org to sign up today.

Foresters is an international financial services organisation which has operated in the UK, US and Canada for over 135 years. We are committed to understanding your financial needs and to offering products and membership benefits, which will assist you with your financial security and peace of mind.

Our purpose is to enhance the well being of members and their families, and we measure our success not only by financial strength, but also by the positive impact we have on our members’ communities.

In the UK last year we supported more than 100 charities and raised over £3m for those charities and other community partners. Thousands of our members provided much needed volunteer hours to help communities throughout the country.

Foresters have received an "A" (Excellent) rating for the eleventh consecutive year from A.M. Best Company. This independent rating assesses Foresters ability to pay claims and is an important measure of the organization's strength and stability. A.M. Best also gave Foresters an issuer credit rating of "a+" with a "stable" outlook.

*An "A" (Excellent) rating is assigned to companies that have a strong ability to meet their ongoing obligations to policyholders and have, on balance, excellent balance sheet strength, operating performance and business profile when compared to the standards established by A.M. Best Company. In assigning Foresters rating, A.M. Best stated that Foresters rating outlook is "stable", which means it is unlikely to change in the near future, assuming Foresters financial strength is maintained and operations grow. A.M. Best assigns ratings from A to F, A being superior ratings and A and A- being excellent ratings.
