SETTLEMENT WITH STATOIL

Dolphin AS, a subsidiary of Fred. Olsen Energy
ASA, has entered into a settlement with Statoil
ASA regarding a previous drilling contract for the
semi submersible drilling rig Byford Dolphin. The
settlement results in an extraordinary income of
NOK 47 million in the 3rd quarter 2006.
