Finnish and Swedish competition authorities approved Fortum's divestment of
industrial maintenance services

The Finnish and Swedish competition authorities have approved the deal by which
Fortum sells its industrial maintenance services business to the funds managed by
CapMan. The agreement was signed on 21 September 2006 and closed on 31 October
2006. The new company specialising in industrial maintenance, Maintpartner, will
start its operations on 1 November 2006.
