FORTUM CORPORATION PRESS RELEASE 29 FEBRUARY 2016

Fortum has acquired a 75-megawatt (MW) windfarm project from the Swedish wind

power developer Arise AB (publ) group. The Solberg site is fully-permitted and
construction-ready. It is located in Västernorrland County in northern Sweden,
where conditions are very favourable for wind power production.

Arise will deliver construction management services to the project.
Construction is subject to Fortum's final investment decision. Fortum will not
disclose the value of the arrangement.

The project is aligned with Fortum's newly announced strategy according to
which the company targets significant growth in wind power. Growth is targeted
both organically, in development projects such as this, and through
acquisitions.
