Fortum and STS Corporation joint venture for heat supply in Chelyabinsk, Russia

FORTUM CORPORATION ONLINE NEWS 5 July 2018

Fortum and STS Corporation have established a joint venture, JSC YUSTEK – Chelyabinsk, for the heat transportation and supply in Chelyabinsk, Russia. Fortum remains the owner of the CHP plant (Combined Heat and Power) and will sell heat to JSC YUSTEK – Chelyabinsk. The operations of JSC YUSTEK – Chelyabinsk are expected to start towards the end of 2018 and become fully operational no later than January 2019.
