FORTUM ESPOO APPLIES FOR DELISTING OF ITS SHARE FROM THE MAIN LIST OF HELSINKI
STOCK EXCHANGE
The Board of Directors of Fortum Espoo Oyj (Fortum Espoo) has today resolved to
apply for a termination of trading in Fortum Espoo share and a delisting of the
share from the Main List of Helsinki Stock Exchange. The application will be
filed today with Helsinki Stock Exchange and consequently Fortum Espoo's share
will be transferred to the surveillance list of Helsinki Stock Exchange.
Fortum Corporation (Fortum) currently owns about 99,88 per cent of shares in
Fortum Espoo and it has commenced with arbitration proceedings in accordance with
the Finnish Companies Act to redeem remaining minority shares in Fortum Espoo.
The Arbitration Court will handle Fortum's redemption right and a security
required from Fortum in its session on 13 September 2006.
Fortum Espoo applies that its share will be delisted from the Main List of
Helsinki Stock Exchange when Fortum has obtained ownership to all outstanding
shares in Fortum Espoo after the Arbitration Court has confirmed the redemption
right and Fortum has deposited the required security.
