Fortum issues EUR 2.5 billion eurobonds

FORTUM CORPORATION STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 19 FEBRUARY 2019 19.55 EET

Today Fortum Corporation has successfully issued bonds with a total nominal amount of EUR 2.5 billion under its Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) programme.

The bonds were issued in three tranches with the following maturities:

1)      EUR 1,000 million maturing on 27 February 2023 with a 0.875% fixed coupon

2)      EUR 750 million maturing on 27 February 2026 with a 1.625% fixed coupon

3)      EUR 750 maturing on 27 February 2029 with a 2.125% fixed coupon

The bonds were allocated to more than 200 investors and will be listed in Luxembourg. The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes including refinancing of existing indebtedness.

Barclays, BNP Paribas, Nordea, and UniCredit acted as joint bookrunners of the transaction.
